Drug Free Sports Response to the Inquiry into the Use of External Security Consultants

Tuesday - December 18th 2018

In March 2018 the State Services Commissioner Peter Hughes launched an inquiry relating to use of private security firms by Southern Response and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.  In August the Commissioner decided to broaden and deepen the enquiry and instructed the inquirers, Doug Martin of Martin Jenkins and Simon Mount QC, to request information from government agencies, including Drug Free Sport NZ.  In response to this request, DFSNZ conducted an internal review and responded by letter in relation to all of the aspects of the request for further information.  Our letter is published here in support of the broader report on the inquiry which has been released today.
