Drug Free Sport NZ statement on Karl Murray

The New Caledonian Anti-Doping Commission has found that Karl Murray committed a doping-related offence under their rules and imposed a two year ban on the cyclist (beginning23 April 2014).

The New Caledonian Anti-Doping Commission is not a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code.

In light of the fact the decision was handed down by an authority that is not a code signatory, Drug Free Sport NZ is investigating the status of this sanction outside of New Caledonia.

In line with its normal position on investigations, Drug Free Sport NZ can say no more at this time.
